How to get to Tarragona from Barcelona Airport:

By plane to Barcelona, and then a direct bus from the Barcelona airport to Tarragona city center (bus from the ALSA company). Current schedule: 8:00, 12:30, 17:00, 22:00. The trip takes 1 hour; Fares: one-way 10.65 Euros; two-way 19.15 euros. Schedules will be updated in December/January when new schedules will be made available.

How to get to Barcelona from the airport:

The Prat international airport is about 14 km from the centre of Barcelona. For airport information ring the following number: +34 93 298 38 38

There are three ways of going from the airport to Sants station, the main station in the centre of Barcelona:

  • TRAIN: first, to take conexion trains between airport - Prat de Llobregat station, and after to take the train lines: "L'Aeroport-l'Hospitalet-Mataró-Maçanet" or Line: "St. Vicenç de Calders-Vilanova-Barcelona-Maçanet" to arrive to Sants Station. How to get to Tarragona from Barcelona:

You can get to Tarragona by several means of transport:

  • TRAIN (the easiest way). The trains to Tarragona leave from Sants station. Line: "Barcelona-Tarragona-Tortosa". Renfe, Tel. +34 902 240202
  • BUS The buses of the company La Hispania cover the route from Barcelona to Tarragona. They leave from the Maria Cristina underground station (line 3), on the Diagonal. La Hispania SA, Tel. +34 977 754 147

  • Another possibility is to take La Hispano Igualadina bus from Sants station to Reus. Some do not go directly to Reus and stop in Tarragona. Line: "Salou-Tarragona-Barcelona" La Hispano Igualadina, Tel. +34 938 044 451 / 933 396 364

  • CAR The best option is to come by the A7 motorway from Barcelona. The exit you have to take is number 33 (Tarragona/Valls), which will take you on to the N-240 and then on to Tarragona. For further information: Guia de Carreteres .

How to get to Tarragona from Madrid:

You can get to Tarragona by several means of transport:

  • BUS For information about the buses to Tarragona: Madrid bus station . There may be no buses that go direct to Tarragona and you may have to change.
  • TRAIN Various trains go to Tarragona, all of which leave from Madrid-Chamartín. For more detailed information, please consult the Renfe website.
  • PLANE There are two possible routes: you can catch a plane to Barcelona airport or Reus airport Tel. +34 977 77 98 47 . If you catch a plane to Barcelona, follow the instructions above to get to Tarragona . For further information about Madrid airport, consult the following website: AENA.
  • CAR When you leave Madrid, take the M-30 and from there take the N-II. At Saragossa, take the A-2 motorway. Leave the motorway at exit 9 (Montblanc), take the C-14 and then the N-240.
